On July 13th Drew and Susan Goss along with Michael and Renee Mahoney hosted a fundraiser for the Greater Chicago Food Depository in their back yard. Inspired by the success of the Annual Girl Food Dinner held at West Town Tavern, the Mahoneys and Gosses created a barbecue-themed menu, invited their friends and requested a shared side dish and $50 donation to the Food Depository. The response was tremendous! While the weather didn't cooperate and Renee's beautifully decorated patio had to be recreated in the Goss' not-so-beautiful garage, the evening was a huge success with much barbecue ingested by all. Drew opened magnums of wine and we all toasted our good fortune and friendship. Our simple evening with friends raised $1,650.00 to help fight hunger in Chicago. Want to host your own?
